Overview
Ecolab is a global sustainability leader, offering water, hygiene, and infection-prevention solutions that protect people and vital resources. The Safequip team partnered with Ecolab in Revesby, NSW and Kwinana Beach, WA, two manufacturing facilities where hazardous chemicals are delivered, produced, and despatched.
Challenges
EcoLab wanted to complete a Site Safety Audit on both sites and implement a Traffic Management Plan for their Revesby site that was safe, practical and included a one-way traffic flow. With manufacturing, storage, and distribution all on one compact site, it was vital to improve the Traffic Management System for the safety of employees and visitors.
Solutions
We conducted comprehensive Site Safety Audits at both locations and developed a tailored Traffic Management Plan for the Revesby site.
Our initial focus was implementing a one-way traffic system to prioritise safety and efficiency around the worksite. We designed dedicated pedestrian pathways that effectively guide foot traffic around the administration areas, ensuring a secure environment for all personnel.
In addition to this, we introduced a comprehensive range of traffic management improvements. These included safety barriers, clear line markings, and strategically placed safety signage. To further enhance safety, we incorporated speed bumps and wheel stops, all aimed at maintaining controlled vehicle speeds and protecting pedestrians. Collectively, these measures created a well-organised and secure worksite for everyone.

Results
The solutions implemented by SafeQuip have transformed the way EcoLab manages onsite traffic. The new measures have significantly enhanced safety and practicality, creating a work environment where pedestrians are effectively segregated from mobile plant and vehicles. This improved setup not only promotes safety but also ensures smoother operations, allowing EcoLab to focus on its core activities with greater confidence and efficiency.
